RedStone launched RED token on Ethereum and first airdrop

On March 6, 2025, blockchain oracle provider RedStone officially launched its RED token on the Ethereum network. The new token is designed to strengthen and decentralize RedStone’s oracle data delivery infrastructure through a staking mechanism. The launch is accompanied by the first stage of token distribution among the community, which emphasizes its key role in the development of the project.

RED launch details

The total volume of RED emission is 1 billion tokens. According to RedStone co-founder and COO Marcin Kazmierczak, 10% of this volume is allocated to the Community and Genesis initiative. “This piece recognizes the importance of the community to the long-term success of RedStone. Tokens will be distributed through carefully planned airdrops to reward early backers, partners and active participants,” Kazmierczak noted in an interview with The Block.

The first airdrop started with verification of rights to receive tokens on March 5th. Participants in the RedStone Expedition program, launched in late 2023, can check their allocations before the token generation event on March 6th. Through this initiative, participants earned “RedStone Gems” for on-chain interactions, content creation, and Discord roles. However, according to Foresight News, of the 200,000 community members, only about 4,000 met the conditions to participate in the airdrop.

Tokenomics and distribution of RED

Tokens are distributed as follows:

  • 10% – for protocol development;
  • 20% – for key participants (with blocking);
  • 4% – for Binance Launchpool;
  • 24.2% – for the ecosystem and data providers;
  • 31.8% – for early investors (with blocking).

Each category has an unlocking schedule of up to 48 months, which ensures that tokens are gradually introduced into circulation. The editors of CryptoInside believe that this approach minimizes pressure on the market and contributes to the sustainable growth of the project.

Implications for the crypto industry

The launch of RED marks an important milestone for RedStone, enhancing the decentralization and security of oracle data delivery. Staking RED will allow participants to support the network and receive rewards, which, according to analysts at CryptoInside, could attract more developers and strengthen RedStone’s position among competitors such as Chainlink.
