В Украине заблокировали криптобиржу KUNA
The State Service for Special Communications and Information Protection of Ukraine (Gosspetsvyaz) has blocked access to theKUNAcryptocurrency exchange. The decision was made on the basis of a decision of the Shevchenkovsky District Court of Kiev at the request of the Bureau of Economic Security (BEB).
The exchange is suspected of the following violations:
✅ Money laundering
✅ Financing of illegal transactions
✅ Violation of financial control and accounting
The restriction of access to KUNA was introduced in accordance with Article 32 of the Law of Ukraine “On Electronic Communications”, but the court did not disclose additional details of the case.
Reaction of the founder of the exchange
KUNA founder Mikhail Chobanyan said that Ukrainian Internet providers have already complied with the blocking requirement. At the same time, according to him, the restriction applies only to users from Ukraine, since the exchange infrastructure is located on cloud servers in Europe.
Chobanyan also noted that company representatives were not invited to the court hearingand in the near future he expects to receive clarification regarding BEB’s claims.
Previously, the entrepreneuraccused the National Bank of Ukraine (NBU) of destroying the cryptocurrency market, stating that in the current conditionsthe development of the crypto industry in the country is impossible.
